Ann Arbor’s vibrant culinary scene continues to grow as five new restaurants are set to open their doors along Main Street and the Kerrytown district this spring. The openings represent a diverse range of cuisines, from a farm-to-table Michigan bistro to an authentic Korean barbecue spot.
Among the most anticipated is Lakeside Table, a restaurant sourcing ingredients exclusively from Michigan farms and the Great Lakes fishery. Chef Maria Santos, a University of Michigan culinary program graduate, describes her menu as a love letter to Michigan’s agricultural heritage.
The Downtown Development Authority reports that restaurant vacancy rates in the city center have dropped to just 3%, the lowest in over a decade. The new openings are expected to create approximately 120 jobs in the local hospitality sector.
